A roll for some of her knitting needles (being modeled by some of mine)! During a visit, she mentioned that she was thinking of buying or making one. I promptly went home and scoured the internet for the perfect tutorial, finally settling on this one. I really do love this particular tutorial. The roll couldn't have been easier to put together! I may just make one for myself.
All rolled up, neat and tidy. This wasn't her main gift, just a little somethin' extra. The fam all pitched in and got grandma an iPad! Watch out, world.
Speaking of watch out world, my parents are finally getting internet access! Welcome to the late 90's, you guys! We passed an old MacBook on to them (it once belonged to my husband, then me), got them a wireless router, and made an appointment with their cable company. Now I just have to show them what to do. Any suggestions for websites, videos, etc. on how to guide a non tech-savvy person through the interwebs?
Now your mom just needs facebook! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh dear...we'll cross that bridge when we come to it!
DeleteYour parents JUST now got internet? What have they been doing all of these years? Going to the library? I find that crazy! Be sure to show them Google. Anything and everything is available at their fingertips!!
ReplyDeleteMy parents are kind of technology phobic! They finally decided to get cell phones (old timey flip phones, not smart phones or anything) a few years ago when my grandparents were having health problems. They had internet access just for me during my senior year of high school and during my summers home from college. They never used it, and as soon as I left home for good, no more internet! I've decided to start them on Google, Gmail, and my blog.
