Remember when I was supposed to make a pillow cover for my mom from Kayte Terry's Applique Your Way, but I couldn't find my copy anywhere? Well, I found it! Good thing, too, because it's chock full of projects that my mom wants me to make for her. She literally bookmarked pages. This came in very hand when I realized that Mother's Day was sneaking up on me and I needed a gift.
I loooove how this turned out, and it was super simple. Double stick fusible web is a beautiful thing! The most time consuming part was cutting out the teeny little leaves. I used a light gray linen and cotton blend for the background, and a periwinkle velveteen for the silhouette. The pillow form is 14" x 14" rather than the 12" x 16" that was called for because (as usual) I wanted to use what I had on hand. I did change the pattern just a little bit, making it a little simpler than the original. I think my mom will like it, and, if she doesn't, I'll keep it for myself!
love it! and it's something I think I could actual do :)
